Poetry at Maui Borders    An Evening of Poetry and Art with Piero Resta at Border's
Bookstore in Kahului, Maui. Piero is reading his son Stefano's Kaupoetry while accompanied by
accordianist Magi of Bolinas and bassist Jonathan Starr of Kalepa. Jonathan is playing his Rick
Turner Renaissance fretted 4-string and enjoying the wierd lyrics.
 
 

Me & my P-bass    This is my trusty '79 sunburst Fender Precision Bass. My BMW
R100GS dual sport motorbike is in the background, outside my defunct service station/office at 1960
Main Street in Wailuku, Maui. We have regular evening jams in the old service station, which will one
day be part of the Wailkuku redevelopment.
 
 

Everyone is a closet drummer.    I like percussion, and my favorite types of music are African rock
such as Hi Life, JuJu, Fela, Soukous; Latin; Brazilian; Bluegrass/Newgrass; Blues; Hawaiian and more.
